Eric Marcus is the
author or co-author of a dozen books, most of which can't
be found at bookstores anywhere. He hopes you like Pessimisms,
but he's not counting on it.
Eric Marcus is a
former associate producer for ABC TV’s Good Morning
America (from which he was fired) and for CBS TV’s Morning
News. He is the co-author of Breaking the Surface,
the bestselling autobiography of Olympic diving champion Greg
Louganis, which spent five weeks at the top of the New
York Times bestseller list.

Marcus graduated from Vassar College
in 1980, where he majored in urban studies. In 1984 he received
an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of
Journalism. He is currently attending the Columbia University
Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation,
where he is halfway through a masters program in real estate
development. He is also has a master's degree in real estate development from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. He graduated just in time to watch the real estate bubble burst.
